Every feature on every plan — pick the one that matches your school’s size. Flat monthly or yearly pricing, no per-student fees, and a 14-day free trial.
Choose a plan by your active-student count — flat pricing, no per-student fees. Every plan includes a 14-day free trial.
1–30 active students
31–100 active students
101–250 active students
251–500 active students
500+ active students
1 The student limit applies to active students only. Inactive, graduated, transferred & archived records don't count toward it — so you can keep your full school history for years.
2 The CBT engine lets you create unlimited exams. The number of students who can sit an exam at the same time matches your plan's active-student count (e.g. 30 on Micro). Large-scale simultaneous testing needs a higher plan.
3 Included on every plan, but charged when you use it — fee collection costs a small percentage of what you actually collect. See What else costs money below for the exact rates.
Every feature is on every plan. Plans differ by size — active students, storage and question capacity — not by what you can do. The one feature with a real per-use cost, online fee payment, is charged as you use it, on any plan.
Every plan starts with a 14-day free trial. Prices in Naira, no per-student fees. Payments secured by Paystack.
Your plan covers every feature. Two things carry a charge beyond it — and you only pay for them if you use them.
0.5% per payment, capped at ₦1,000
Taken from your settlement, never added to what the parent pays. However large the payment, our share is never more than ₦1,000 — about a third of what the payment provider itself charges.
Instalments cost you no more on a typical term bill. On a term bill up to ₦200,000, it costs the same whether a parent pays the whole term at once or spreads it over several instalments — so you are never penalised for offering a payment plan. Above that, our ₦1,000 cap means a single payment is the cheaper option.
Paystack charges its own transaction fee separately (1.5% + ₦100, capped at ₦2,000). That also comes out of your settlement, so parents pay the figure on your fee schedule and nothing more. A parent paying with a card issued outside Nigeria costs more: Paystack charges 3.9% + ₦100, with no cap. Online fee payment is for schools in Nigeria.
Everything you need to know about Palmgrade pricing
No. Palmgrade uses flat pricing — one price per plan up to an active-student limit, not a fee per head. As your school grows, you simply move to the plan that fits your size.
Monthly lets you pay for 1 to 4 months at a time, at the monthly price. Yearly is paid once a year and gives you 2 months free (you pay for 10 months and get 12). Choose whichever suits your school’s cash flow.
Yes. On monthly billing you can pay for 1 to 4 months in one payment, so you can cover a whole term at once and pay again when the next one starts. Paying by the term costs the same as paying month by month; the only discount is yearly billing, where you pay for 10 months and get 12. Paying early never costs you time: a new payment starts where your current period ends.
Yes — every plan starts with a 14-day free trial. No debit card is required to begin, and you only pay if you choose to continue.
Only active students count toward your plan limit. Inactive, graduated, transferred, and archived students do not, so your records can grow for years without forcing an upgrade.
Yes. If your school has 100 students but your budget this year only stretches to Micro, take Micro — you will not be blocked from adding all 100 students, and no feature is withheld. Two practical things to plan around, though. First, storage: each plan includes a file quota (Micro 1 GB, Small 3 GB, Medium 10 GB, Large 25 GB) and that one is a hard limit, so a school with lots of photos and documents will feel it sooner on a smaller plan. Second, exams: the number of students who can sit an exam AT THE SAME TIME matches your plan’s active-student number — so on Micro, 30 students can take a paper simultaneously and the rest would need to sit in batches. If you run whole-year exams at once, size your plan for that. Plenty of schools start on a smaller plan and move up next session; upgrading takes effect immediately and you only pay the difference for the days left in your period.
Only active students count toward your plan — inactive, graduated, transferred, and archived records don’t. The practical limit is storage: each plan includes a file quota for avatars, exam images, and uploads (Micro 1 GB, Small 3 GB, Medium 10 GB, Large 25 GB). Text records like student details and results are tiny, so you can keep years of history comfortably within your quota.
₦15,000 one-time
Send parents links that begin with your school's own address — portal.yourschool.com instead of palmgrade.com — so they can see at a glance the link really is from you. A one-time setup charge, with no monthly cost, available on every plan.
It covers registering the address and helping you add the single DNS record at your domain provider. You'll need a domain your school already owns.
That's everything. No per-student charges, nothing added to your monthly or yearly price, and no feature locked behind a bigger plan.
All of them. Every feature is available on every plan — exams, report cards, attendance, school fees and online payment, your own school web address, everything. Plans differ by size, not by features: how many active students you can have, how much file storage you get, and how many questions you can keep. Pick the plan that matches your school’s size, not the one that unlocks a feature you need.
When you collect school fees through Palmgrade, we take 0.5% per payment, capped at ₦1,000 — never more than ₦1,000 however large the payment. Paystack's own transaction fee is separate. Both come out of your settlement rather than being added to what parents pay, so a parent is charged exactly the amount on your fee schedule and nothing more. On a term bill up to ₦200,000, it costs the same whether a parent pays the whole term at once or spreads it over several instalments — so you are never penalised for offering a payment plan. Above that, our ₦1,000 cap means a single payment is the cheaper option. There is no plan requirement and no monthly charge, so a 40-student school can collect fees online from day one and only ever pays in proportion to what it actually receives — on a ₦116,000 term bill, ₦580.
They pay for different things. Paystack moves the money (1.5% + ₦100, capped at ₦2,000, for cards issued in Nigeria; 3.9% + ₦100 for cards issued abroad). Our 0.5% covers everything around it: issuing each parent an itemised bill, letting them pay only the items they owe, tracking instalments, matching every payment back to the right student automatically, and giving your bursar a reconciled record instead of a bank statement to decode by hand. All in, collecting a ₦116,000 term bill costs about 2% — well under what school payment platforms typically charge elsewhere.
Yes. With a Custom Web Address, the links you send parents begin with your school’s own address — portal.yourschool.com instead of palmgrade.com — so a parent can tell at a glance that the link really is from you. It works on every plan, needs one DNS record at whoever manages your domain, and does not affect your existing website or email. There is a one-time setup fee, and no monthly charge.
Payments are processed securely by Paystack in Nigerian Naira — card, bank transfer, and more. You can upgrade, downgrade, or renew anytime from your dashboard. Outside Nigeria, you can pay by international debit or credit card (still charged in Naira; your bank converts it), or contact us to arrange another way to pay.
Subscription payments are non-refundable, except where the law requires otherwise. That is why every plan starts with a 14-day free trial, with no card needed, so you can be sure before you pay. You never lose time you have paid for, though. If you move to a smaller plan, the change waits until your paid period ends. If you cancel, renewal stops, but everything keeps working until the end of the period you paid for. If you are ever charged by mistake, for example twice for the same period, contact us and we will put it right.
You get a 14-day grace period first, during which nothing changes — we know school funds often arrive on their own schedule. After that your modules pause until you renew, but your data is never held hostage: you can export every student record, result, grade and attendance register at any time, even if you decide to move to another platform. Parents keep working links to any results, report cards or homework you already sent them, and can still pay school fees online. Any exam already in progress finishes normally. Renewing restores everything immediately, exactly as you left it.
In our experience schools use it more in the holidays than they expect. Holiday and summer lessons mean learning carries on for the students who opt in, and those classes need registers, marks and reports like any other. Admissions don’t pause either — a lot of enrolment happens precisely during the break, and new students have to be recorded somewhere. And your office still needs the records: transcripts, transfer certificates, a parent asking for last term’s result, a teacher preparing for resumption. Meanwhile we keep everything stored, backed up, secured and ready for the day you return — a school running the same thing in-house, with servers, backups, security and someone to maintain it, would spend many times a Palmgrade plan. That is why we recommend the yearly plan for most schools: you stay covered all year, nothing lapses in the middle of a holiday, and you pay for 10 months and get 12.
